Effective, Individualized Professional Support Begins Here
Are you a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or working toward your license?
Could you benefit from clinical consultation with an experienced therapist who can offer support and professional guidance?
In this field, mentorship is key—especially if you’re new to the job or in a transitional period. Becoming a therapist is not for the faint of heart; issues like burnout, overwhelm, imposter syndrome, and compassion fatigue are very common. And without the proper skill set for work-life balance, it can be easy to fall into unhealthy patterns or begin to question if this career is even right in the first place, even though you’ve worked hard to get where you are.
As an experienced therapist and practice owner, my clinical consultation and supervision services are designed to help you develop effective self-care, strong therapeutic skill sets, and a solid ethical foundation for your practice. Collaborative supervision ensures that you are thriving both personally and professionally as a therapist.

Consultation Makes You A Better Therapist
Every mental health clinician can benefit from clinical consultation. While we may believe that education, training, and clinical hours are all we need to get started, the truth is that it can be extremely challenging to navigate the early stages of a career in mental health. We all need practice implementing certain skill sets, modalities, and ethical guidelines so that we can make sure we’re the most effective therapists possible—without bringing our work home with us.
Clinical consultation is available to any LPC (or LPC in training) who could use support on their career journey. Therapists, counselors, and other mental health clinicians often seek supervision to:
Work under the mentorship of an experienced clinician who can offer direct support, feedback, and commiseration
Gain important insight into ethics and case management
Develop confidence in therapeutic skills and applications
Combat imposter syndrome, especially at the beginning of a career or career change
Improve cultural competence
Prevent burnout

I will tailor our sessions to your specific needs and goals so that you can get what you want out of this process.
Clinical Consultation And Supervision Through Mountain Lights Counseling
As a supervisor, my goal is to create an honest and authentic relationship through which we can bolster your strengths. While I have years of experience in this field, I don’t intend to address consultation from a place of authority but rather a solid back-and-forth rapport that can help you come to your own conclusions about the practice you want to build.
What To Expect
We will start consultation with a discussion of where you want to go with your career and how I can help you get there. I aim for this process to be as flexible and individualized as possible, so I will make sure we schedule sessions around your availability and budgeting limitations. If you prefer virtual supervision to in-person sessions, telehealth is available.
From there, we will begin to work toward building the skills and perspectives you need to feel like the most effective clinician possible, whether you’re in need of better coping techniques, a stronger understanding of certain theories and modalities, or just some support in navigating difficult aspects of the job. While I work with—and can provide guidance for—a range of diagnoses and therapy approaches, I am particularly well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), substance abuse disorders, and common mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, and grief.
It's not a bad thing to need clinical supervision, and in fact, seeking consultation signals that you are taking your profession seriously and trying to be the best clinician possible! Looking inward is an important aspect of this work, and tough questions are essential in understanding your blind spots, identifying your strengths, and providing effective care. Consultation is all about learning and growing into both the professional and the person you want to be.
Common Questions And Concerns About Supervision

While this process is no doubt an expense, it’s also an investment in the long-term success of your practice. As you gain lifelong skills for managing career stress while receiving support from a fellow therapist, you’re likely to feel better about your trajectory and create a more lucrative practice.
Keep in mind that if cost is an issue, I offer tiered pricing for consultation based on your income and clinical experience. Contact me for more information.

Absolutely. I understand that you may have a big case load and not a ton of time during the workday to meet with a counseling supervisor, so I will do my best to work around your scheduling limitations. In addition to in-person consultation sessions, I also offer clinical supervision via telehealth.

You don’t need to know where to begin with this process—I’ll be sure to go over expectations and create an agenda to offer guidance on our sessions. Clinical supervision is tailored to your unique needs, so we will start with outlining goals for your practice/work life and go from there.
